The TN visa is available to citizens of Mexico and Canada under the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA).

Each profession has specific requirements, such as holding a university degree or professional license.
The duration of the TN visa depends on the country:
• For Mexican citizens, the TN visa can be issued for up to 4 years, according to current Department of State guidelines.
• For Canadian citizens, the authorized stay is usually up to 3 years initially.
In both cases, the visa can be renewed indefinitely, as long as:
• You continue working with an eligible employer.
• The USMCA requirements are still met.
Yes, you can change employers, but you must file a new TN visa application or a petition for change of employer.
